Terms of service
These terms govern use of the TryCart Shopify app and the trycart.app website, operated by Kyle Marham, trading as Blue Dog Digital, in the United Kingdom. By installing the app or using the site you agree to them.
The service
TryCart lets Shopify merchants offer try-before-you-buy using Shopify’s native deferred-capture selling plans. Trials, payment authorisation and capture are executed by Shopify; TryCart configures and orchestrates them. The service is currently in beta and provided free of charge (“v1”). We will give at least 30 days’ notice before introducing any paid tier.
Merchant responsibilities
You remain responsible for your own store: the products you enable for trials, your deposit and trial-window settings, your returns policy, and compliance with the consumer law that applies to your customers. TryCart provides tooling, not legal advice.
Beta service, no warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don’t warrant uninterrupted operation, and a beta product may change or be withdrawn with reasonable notice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which, during the free beta, is zero. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost revenue from trial orders.
Termination
You can stop using TryCart at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin; your data is deleted within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, attempts to circumvent Shopify’s platform rules, or unlawful use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions: hello@trycart.app.
